Three Hot Cocoa Recipes We're Sipping On
When the weather’s cold on long winter nights, nothing hits the spot quite like a warm mug of hot chocolate. This winter, ditch the packet mix and check out these three new recipes we can’t wait to sip on!
Classic Hot Chocolate
- 4 cups milk of choice
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ chopped chocolate bar
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Garnish: whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate flakes, whatever you desire!
Cocoa for Coconut
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 can of coconut milk (13.5 ounces)
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 ounce bittersweet chocolate, chopped about ¼ cup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of kosher salt
Peppermint Hot Chocolate
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1½ cups milk of choice
- ¼ cup sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 3 drops peppermint oil
