Smoothies are a simple and delicious way for busy parents to ensure their children are nourishing their bodies with essential vitamins and minerals. The three smoothies below taste so sweet your kids won’t even know it’s good for them!
1. SWEET APPLE PIE SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
- 1 apple
- 1 banana
- 1 cup milk of choice (cow, almond, oat, soy, etc.)
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp temp seeds (optional)
- 1-2 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions:
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender
- Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, adding more milk if the mixture becomes too thick
- Pour and Bon Appétit!
2. HEALTHY BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
- 1-2 pitted dates
- 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup milk of choice (almond preferred)
- ½ cup Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla-flavored
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender
- Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, adding more milk if the mixture becomes too thick
- Enjoy!
3. AVOCADO SMOOTHIE FOR THE ADVENTUROUS KIDS
Ingredients:
- 1 Avocado
- 1 cup milk of choice (cow, almond, oat, soy, etc.)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- ½ cup full-fat or Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla-flavored
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions:
- Halve and pit the avocado
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender
- Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, adding more milk if the mixture becomes too thick
- Drink up!
